Lyrics to Warrior by Blush

Huh~ Yeah!
Warrior, Warrior, Warrior

I’m not the kind of girl to do what I’m supposed to
Yeah, I’m a rebel, I’m a real soldier
No, this ain’t over
That’s what I told ya
I just want this and more
I’m gonna take it for sure

Watch me come my way through the barbed wire
I’m not a quitter, I walk right-right through the fire
No, this ain’t over
That’s what I told ya
Crushing on enemies
Fighting for you and me

Can you hear the battlecry in the distance?
A thousand armies of me marching all around the world
To the beat of the drum, I’ll be keep pushing on til I get what I want

Cause I’m a warrior
I’m gonna fight for your love
I’m a warrior, I’m never gonna give up
Cause I’m a warrior, yeah yeah yeah
I’m a warrior, yeah yeah yeah

I’m gonna break these walls around you
Anything to put my arms around you
Cause I’m a warrior, yeah yeah yeah
I’m a warrior, yeah yeah yeah

They try to keep us apart
For the last time
I’m gonna put on my armor
Draw my own fun line
They’ll see me coming (coming)
Yeah, they’ll be running (running)
I just want you to know that’s how far I go

Can you hear the battlecry in the distance?
A thousand armies of me marching all around the world
To the beat of the drum, I’ll be keep pushing on til I get what I want

Cause I’m a warrior
I’m gonna fight for your love
I’m a warrior, I’m never gonna give up
Cause I’m a warrior, yeah yeah yeah
I’m a warrior, yeah yeah yeah

I’m gonna break these walls around you
Anything to put my arms around you
Cause I’m a warrior, yeah yeah yeah
I’m a warrior, yeah yeah yeah

I’m warrior, warrior
I’ma I’ma warrior, warrior

(Break these walls
Find your ass
Break these walls
Find your ass)

I’m warrior, warrior
I’ma I’ma warrior, warrior

To the beat of the drum
I’ll be keep pushing on
til I get what I want

Cause I’m a warrior (Ah~)
I’m gonna fight for your love
I’m a warrior, I’m never gonna give up
Cause I’m a warrior, yeah yeah yeah
I’m a warrior, yeah yeah yeah

I’m gonna break these walls around you (break these wall around you~)
Anything to put my arms around you (put my arms around you~)
Cause I’m a warrior, yeah yeah yeah (Ah~~)
I’m a warrior, yeah yeah yeah

Hold Me by Yoko Ono

Hold Me by Yoko Ono

2013 marks a milestone year for Yoko Ono (aka ONO). The influential pop culture icon, outspoken activist and enduring avant-garde visionary celebrated her 80th birthday on February 18, 2013. Yoko Ono’s dynamic, uncompromising and, often controversial career has spanned more than five decades and has seen Ono expand from vilified outsider artist, socio-political revolutionary and progenitor of punk and New York’s famed Downtown art scene to now include global peace ambassador, philanthropic contributor to the Arts and Billboard Dance chart-topping diva.

In the past decade, the boundless art-rock visionary has opened up her catalog of original works to be cleverly reinvented by a cherry-picked assemblage of dance, electronic and indie/alternative music innovators including PET SHOP BOYS, FLAMING LIPS, BASEMENT JAXX, DANNY TENAGLIA, PENGUIN PRISON, JUAN MACLEAN, FELIX DA HOUSECAT, PEACHES, ANTONY (of ANTONY AND THE JOHNSONS), SPARKS, CSS, HANK SHOCKLEE, CAT POWER, JUNIOR BOYS, BIMBO JONES, and THE POLYPHONIC SPREE. To date, the groundbreaking remix series has spawned nine #1 BILLBOARD HOT DANCE CLUB PLAY chart-topping hits including TALKING TO THE UNIVERSE, MOVE ON FAST, WOULDNIT (I’M A STAR), GIVE ME SOMETHING, I’M NOT GETTING ENOUGH, GIVE PEACE A CHANCE, NO NO NO, EVERYMAN / EVERYWOMAN and the definitive anthem WALKING ON THIN ICE, as well as, 2 critically-acclaimed remix albums – YES, I’M A WITCH and OPEN YOUR BOX.

ONO kicks off the 2013 New Year with a fiery new dance single HOLD ME – a searing collaboration co-written and produced by EDM A-lister DAVE AUDÉ (whose discography includes remixes and productions for U2, Madonna, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Ke$ha, Rihanna, Britney Spears, Depeche Mode, Coldplay and Pussycat Dolls, and an unprecedented 83 #1 Billboard Club Play Chart hits). The single finds ONO as vibrant and compelling as ever, continuing her streak of dance floor and club chart domination.

While her previous club hits have been star-studded reworkings of her classic material, “HOLD ME” is an entirely new song co-written by ONO and Dave, tailor-made for dance floors, and filled with her vivid lyrical imagery. Combined with Audé’s midas touch for solid, contemporary club anthems, the collaboration is an inspired one that sheds a new light on ONO and adds a strikingly new dimension to her illustrious career.

Enlisted for remixes are Grammy Award-winning producer RALPHI ROSARIO, premiere Dutch DJ/producer R3HAB, sweltering progressive house collective PAPERCHA$ER, Spain’s IVAN GOMEZ & NACHO CHAPADO, Brazilian electro house/dubstep heavyweights DIRTY LOUD, electro nu-rave legend TOMMIE SUNSHINE and Boston-based wunderkind EMJAE (aka DJ/producer/remixer Matt Johnson of Nightriders and The Night Owl), all of whom deliver adrenalin-fueled bangers that keep the emotion and energy levels high. In addition to his original production, Audé himself also contributes to the collective of vibrant interpretations.

Lyrics to Aurora by GOWE

(Verse 1)
I said I promise, never to embark with
Nothing but my feelings while I’m sitting on this carpet
They sent a message said to build another starship
I’m sitting from afar watching how my bars hit
If they don’t get it then we got to redirect it
If they fail to understand it, don’t it mean we reprimand it?
No, no, no, we just keep going
Write a new song, craft another great poem
And then you broadcast, shoot it through they hard glass
Hook ’em with the single then you hit ’em with the star clash
Know what that is? That’s your best move
Make the crowd roar, get the one, two, three, count
Pin they shoulders to the mat now
Raise your title to the ceiling, really watch ’em clap loud
Now they ring the bell, hatin’ cause you feeling well
Climbing to my citadel, shooting all my sentinels—BOOM!

(Pre-chorus)
I said BOOM! (x2)

(Chorus)
We taking off, we driving it all night
We’ll be flying away
We taking off, we driving it all night
We’ll be flying away

(Verse 2)
I like to paint thoughts, in a song form
They like to twist words, make me conform
Make me feel like I am trapped up in a box
Every single that I drop, it ain’t ever gonna stop, no!
‘Cause I’m lovin all the energy
Call it what you will, but I call it versatility
I really like my jazz and I dig rock too
I dig a Rocky Johnson and Fatu
Independent but I’m sent to intervent it
In the main event I win it like a Undertaker finish
And I got to take a minute, words is my melody
Write another verse just to work through telepathy
I fell before so I remember how that feel like
Don’t it feel like you was dreaming, is this real life?
This is real as a knife that’ll cut my mic off
And we all love to glow so turn the lights off—HEY!

(Pre-chorus)
I said HEY! (x2)

[Chorus]

(Verse 3)
We on verse 3, you get the song yet?
You want the highly profound with the soul flip?
In a bold step I will fold any old texts
Claiming they a legend but they hidden just like Olmec!
Yeah, we bringing life to the radio
Take it to the station to the pavement just to play me though
They call it underground, we call it underrated
A bunch of talented people who really could’ve made it
But that’s the fabric in the blanket of our culture
Cop a couple Lamborghini’s then you’re over
I copped my own ship, I fly it to the moon
I get to see the world and maybe see ya soon
So we can grip the mic and lighten up the dance floor
Have ’em throw they arms around until we see they hands sore
Now they ring the bell, hatin’ ’cause you feeling well
Climbing to my citadel, shooting all my sentinels—BOOM!

I said Boom! (x2)

[Chorus]
