I’ll Hold My Breath by Viennie V

I'll Hold My Breath by Viennie V

Singer/dancer Viennie V released her music video for “I’ll Hold My Breath” off her third album “Whatever Happens”. Written in 2012, “I’ll Hold My Breath” was an immediate fan favorite and tells the story of unconditional love and heartache. The video captures the songstress in a way that is both thrillingly new and exciting. Fans are taken into a fantastic world defying the realms of reality and are invited to take part in both an emotional and visual escape. The music video features Viennie V in a filled bathtub and cuts to mesmerizing scenes of the dance-pop artist trapped in a room engulfed by water. However, one of the most notable scenes takes place when Viennie V is captured in a literal painting come to life.

Viennie V explains about the story behind her new video, “I wrote this song for a close friend of mine in the Marines who was deployed. There were so many of us who were constantly thinking of him, wanting him to come home safely. This song is about the feeling we hold for our loved ones when they are away from us. We seem to always be holding our breath, waiting for them until we know that they are safe and sound.” You can get the single on I'll Hold My Breath - Whatever Happens or amazon.

Lyrics to I’ll Hold My Breath by Viennie V

Breathing is painful ‘cause your scent still lingers

Teardrops stream down on my face Each one a kiss that I’ll always treasure
Memories that won’t fade away

This can’t be real

‘Cause I feel you still This love will last
‘Til you come back

[Chorus]

I’ll hold my breath, I’ll hold my breath

‘Til love finds a way I’ll hold my breath, hold my breath
Through the fire and the rain
I’ll hold my breath, breath, breath, breath, breath
‘Til you come back to me
Come back to me
Come back to me

Oh, oh, oh, come back to me, oh, oh, oh

My life is a storm and my only shelter

Is you by my side in my dreams Sometimes I wake and I hear you whisper
Callin’ and reachin’ for me

This can’t be real ‘Cause I feel you still
This love will last
‘Til you come back

[Chorus]

I’ll hold my breath, I’ll hold my breath

‘Til love finds a way I’ll hold my breath, hold my breath
Through the fire and the rain
I’ll hold my breath, breath, breath, breath, breath
‘Til you come back to me
Come back to me
Come back to me

Oh, oh, oh, come back to me, oh, oh, oh

[Bridge]

I’ll be standin’ here even if it takes a lifetime

I’ll be holdin’ on you’re my one and only lifeline

Forever and a day I’ll wait

Our destiny is here You and me are bound by fate
(I’m never lettin’ go)

[Chorus]

I’ll hold my breath, I’ll hold my breath

‘Til love finds a way I’ll hold my breath, hold my breath
Through the fire and the rain
I’ll hold my breath, breath, breath, breath, breath
‘Til you come back to me
Come back to me
Come back to me

I’ll hold my breath, I’ll hold my breath

Through the fire and the rain Love will find a way, love will find a way
Come back to me, come back to me, come back
Please come back, come back, come back, back to me

A Twitbook Proposal

A Twitbook Proposal

A few years ago, we saw a bunch of Asian American flash mob wedding proposals. Now we have an internet proposal of sorts. Not quite the Internet Meme proposal.

On Saturday, February 9, 2013 at 3:15pm PST, after 4+ years of dating, Jon Park proposed to his girlfriend Genevieve Wong. Given that they both work in social media (her – Twitter, him – Facebook), he wanted to leverage both platforms in the proposal. Needless to say, it involved some coordination among all of their friends and family.

To briefly summarize the plan, after a day of wandering through the Dogpatch and Mission Districts of San Francisco, they found ourselves “unexpectedly” meeting their friends at Dolores Park. What the video doesn’t capture is that immediately after he stepped away from the group, three of her coworkers bombed her phone with tweets telling her to watch a video. The rest is history.

You can read more about Genevieve’s perspective here.
