Imperialism by World Order

Imperialism by World Order

WORLD ORDER first captured the international attention with the release of their music videos on Youtube — the sight of seven suited Japanese men dancing robotically against prominent Tokyo scenes garnered a huge reaction. Their latest video takes place at the nation’s capitol in D.C. The new single and video IMPERIALISM builds on the group’s mission to prompt reflection contemporary society, working styles, global culture, and images of modern Japan. Provocatively shot in Washington D.C. — against backdrops of American sights like the US Capitol building and Union Station. Spontaneous moments from filming are kept as is for the video – WORLD ORDER’s expressive vision.

The new music video for IMPERIALISM is a continuation from the earlier Korea-set piece, Permanent Revolution. Instead of Asia, the IMPERIALISM video was shot on location in a modern world empire — Washington D.C., USA. Characteristic restraint and a solemn melody are coupled with a humorous performance, expressing yet again the meta-message of WORLD ORDER. Founder and leader of the group, Genki Sudo, says about the song, “It’s our first English-language release, but the message is the same as our other Japanese-language songs. We sing about the human family and the situation of the world.”

Lyrics to Imperialism by World Order

Let’s make a paradise
When I was waiting for sunrise
This is what I wanna visualize
Together, we realize

Concession and the plantation
Our dreams, under the control, It’s the,
End of Imperial history, Now
Let me show you the ocean of the prime

31 Days by Zee Avi

Singer Zee Avi released her music video for her single “31 Days” off her Ghostbird album. Although June has 30 days rather than 31, the song “31 Days” was inspired by a couch-surfing friend who lamented “I was homeless for 31 days in June.” The only way to pay the rent is with love. Who knows where life will lead you in your wanderings? You can download the song on 31 Days - Ghostbird or amazon.

Lyrics to 31 Days by Zee Avi

The ripe age of seventeen
Moved into the big bad city
Hoping it’d accept me
But I didn’t care it would make me wise and lean

Spent many a-sleepless nights
Don’t care if the bedbugs bite
A hundred fancy couches
But my pillow was the thought of you

A flameless name
A foolish game
I’m half crazy
And you’re too sane

31 days in June
My only mission was to find you
Yes I may be tired and I’m spent
But my love will pay the rent

With one shirt on my back
My father’s duffel bag
And it’s seen better days
Just like the youth that was once on my face

A shameless name
A foolish game
I’m half crazy
And you’re too sane

31 days in June
My only mission was to find you
Yes I may be tired and I’m spent
But my love will pay the rent
My love, yeah my love will pay the rent

Fire by Baiyu

Fire by Baiyu

Singer Baiyu released her latest single “Fire”. Playing with her is like playing with fire. Will you learn from playing with fire when you get burned? Here’s more from her about the track.

What sets humans apart is less so the way that we look, and more so the things that aren’t seen. Frankly, a lot of those things are still mysteries to us. We are resilient. We are dynamic. We are sentient beings. While each and everyone of us is a unique mix of all these factors amongst others, I want to believe that destiny ultimately places us in the presence of very specific individuals that have the ability to truly transform us. To embrace this is how we evolve.

Lyrics to Fire by Baiyu

VERSE 1
There’s nothing new
Oh what’s the use
Of searching for someone
You’ve seen them all
From what you recall
You’re perfect for no one

PRE
But who is this raven haired girl
With the haunting eyes
Who seems to look at this world
With no surprise
She is so critical
So unemotional or so it seems
And yet you need to know
Oh yeah you want to look
Beneath the seams

HOOK
‘Cause you want to play with
Fire
Fire
Fire
If you care to play with
Fire
Fire
Fire
Then come and play with me (x3)

VERSE 2
Tell me what’s in her thoughts
What is her name
Oh tell me
What’s in her dreams
What light her flame

PRE
And who is this raven haired girl
With the haunting eyes
Who seems to look at this world
With no surprise
She is so critical
So unemotional or so it seems
And yet you need to know
Oh yeah you want to look
Beneath the seams

HOOK
‘Cause you want to play with
Fire
Fire
Fire
If you care to play with
Fire
Fire
Fire
Then come and play with me (x5)

Lyrics to Castles by GOWE

V1 –
Got the records on blast with the feelings intact
With the crescent of the moon that is turning all black with
the clouds that surround it driving by my lonesome thinking
bout the future while the music it evokes some kind of feelings
that I’ve hidden from the forefront my heart was shattered
in the past until I felt a sore one
Meaning that it grew with a little bit of room to
Read it haikus while its sitting by you
And I really want to know will I be hurt again verses on a pen
that re-disperse when I try to vent and so I take a minute
and try to redesign it Instead of being blinded my decision’s
to invite it and so I breathe and inhale it in my system
While I take it by the hand & I dance with indecision
But that’s the part of the risk with any chance that we get
And so I’m set feeling blessed that we met – yes

Hook –
I hope to one day be free, I’m building castles my beach
Is on the same road and street the front door is right by the sea
The sea, the front door’s right by the sea, the sea

I hope to one day hold hands, with live music from my band
As we let go of past hurts while we just go walk through the sand
The sand, while we just walk through the sand, the sand

V2 –
See im laying here thinking with my eyes to the ceiling
‘Past left a scar that my bars keep healing with
he right kind of canvas a drum and a beat making sure
the jazz keys setted on repeat so I can vibe out listen
reflect through the city drive slow through the roads
where the lights all pretty I’m used to being by myself
leave the pen and the cell the Best way to roll deep
like a hook to Adele, well kinda close, but its looking the same
Got a early morning flight while im just up and awake
So when I do get on the plane and I am falling asleep
I can rest in the clouds while saying hi to my dreams
Hey nice to see you I’ve seen you since a kid
you would slip me a preview and now that I’ve matured
with a reason to tour I keep slipping back to you like a beach on the shore…
