Wonder Girls are taking a different approach on their second time around trying to break into the US market. This time they are headed straight for the teens with a Wonder Girls special on Teen Nick. Here’s the story line for the special:
On their first trip to New York City, the Wonder Girls set out to prove they have what it takes to make it in America by entering amateur night at the famed Apollo Theatre. While the crowd embraces them, their biggest competition, the School Gyrls are less than thrilled. With a grand prize of $10,000 on the line and more importantly pop domination, who will prevail?
The release of the single The DJ is Mine by Wonder Girls x School Gyrls was used to bolster the marketing efforts of this new project. Let’s see if the ladies can break into the US market.
