Atlanta is quickly becoming a hotbed of Asian American talent (Yellow Boyz, Kato, and more). ATL native Richey Lam has been working on his album “RL”. With the new release of his 4th independent record, Richey’s poignant lyrics, melodies, and radio smash hits have the music industry taking notice of his latest Self titled “RL” album and has been gaining buzz and quite the following. Stylistically drawing from his southern, soulful, pop roots, he recently placed songs on MTV’s The Real World DC and Taking the Stage as well as being named a finalist for VH1’s 2008 Songwriter of the Year. For his new album, he collaborated with some of the music industry’s top producers with tracks Co-Produced by Russ T Cobb (Avril Levigne, Pink, Butch Walker) and HiTPLAY- Emmy & Grammy Award winning production team with over 15,000,000 albums sold world wide (25 RIAA Certified Gold/Platinum Records). Along with songs featured on MTV, feature films, and commercials, Richey is touring and sharing the stage with artists such as Stevie Wonder, Sara Bareilles, Zac Brown, and more while playing colleges across America.
