The Onion sells out to China’s Yu Wan Mei

Satirical website The Onion created a front page spoof on their site touting its acquisition by China’s Yu Wan Mei, the Amalgamated Salvage Fisheries and Polymer Injection Group. You can see it here.

Some of the articles include Yao Ming!, Potato-Faced Youngster Lauded For Memorizing Primitive 26-Character Alphabet,
Nothing At All Happens To 28 Tibetan Protesters, Their Families
,American Children Like Me Are Lazy And Insolent And Must Try Harder, and Know Any Good State Secrets?

The Onion even developed a site for Yu Wan Mei here along with a twitter account here.

The whole thing kinda reminds us of the Mr. Sparkle episode from The Simpsons. Anyone remember that episode? Mr. Sparkle = Matsumura Fishworks + Tamaribuchi Heavy Manufacturing Concern
