Roll Wit a Gangsta by IZ

Born Jacob Paek, IZ (aka IZREAL) burst onto the Asian American rap scene in 2007 with the introductory single “On My Feet,” a song inspired by the struggles he experienced growing up on the streets of Garden Grove, CA. Influenced by a wide spectrum of rap, jazz, and soul music, he impacts countless individuals with poignant lyricism rooted in real-life experiences as an Asian-American gang member. He’s since given up gang life to pursue a career in music.

Recently, IZ has been collaborating with the Far East Movement including the track “I Party” off Far East Movement’s Animal album. (Look for the “I Party” music video coming soon from Choz Belen, the guy that did Sleep by Deep Foundation.) The collabo continues with IZ’s latest single “Roll Wit a Gangsta,” which was recorded by Kevnish from FM. (Kevnish also recently worked on Love by Jaeson Ma.) Learn more about IZ at aznraps.com. They did a nice interview here.
