Giant Robot's 8 bit video game car

The folks over at Giant Robot modified a Scion into a video game car inspired by the 8-bit Nintendo Famicom system. The pop doors on the car have round red push buttons like arcade games and make various Super Mario Brother sounds when opened and closed. Not only is it a vehicle, but it also doubles as a game system. The “key” is a special game cartridge powers the car and makes sound when put in or taken out. To start the car, you need to push a red game button. The seat belt clamps double as game controllers, while the front headlights offers a projection of the game. The rear of the vehicle has a different projection system. The interior has seats inspired by the Activision color scheme, while the exterior is designed to look like a game controller with the wheels looking like buttons.

This was part of the Pixel Pushers exhibit.
