Sun Yue to join the LA Lakers

Los Angeles Laker team officials confirmed that the team has agreed to terms on a contract with point guard Sun Yue. The Lakers drafted Sun Yue in the second round of the 2007 NBA draft at #40 based on his size and ball handling ability. Since that time, Sun Yue, 22, has continued to play with his club team Beijing Aoshen and with the Chinese national team. They hope to finalize details on a contract with Sun Yue in the coming weeks. Yesterday, the Chinese National team played Team USA. Instead of guarding Kobe Bryant, Sun Yue will be playing along side him.
