National Asian & Pacific Islander HIV/AIDS Awareness Day

We got this a little late since National Asian & Pacific Islander HIV/AIDS Awareness Day was on May 19, 2009. Nonetheless, this is an important message for the community.

Please check out this video message from CNN chief medical correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta, commemorating National Asian & Pacific Islander HIV/AIDS Awareness Day. Dr. Gupta’s message—produced for the Banyan Tree Project—highlights the growing HIV/AIDS epidemic in Asian & Pacific Islander communities. For more details, go here.

Interesting collabo between lilcdawg, randolph permejo and movemediaproductions.com for the song “My Everything” by randolph permejo. The music video was shoot spontaneously before Randolph moves to the philippines. The song is kinda like an opposite song to David Choi’s music video “Won’t Even Start

This is the One by Hikaru Utada

Hikaru Utada’s long awaited second English album has finally arrived. You can pickup her album “This Is The One” on Utada - This Is the One or Amazon.com. Amazon is selling the download version for only $5.

Utada had been promoting her album including a visit to Ryan Seacrest. However, her planned instore promotion schedule never got underway with her health conditions. Here’s UTADA’S MESSAGE TO HER US FANS:

“I suppose a lot of you have heard already; I’ve had to cancel the instore events that were scheduled for this week. The reason is, I’m sick. I came down with a case of “peritonsillitis”—it’s basically a more severe form of tonsillitis, in which the area around the tonsils get badly swollen as well. This happens this to me once or twice a year, when I’m extremely tired and my immune system gets in bad shape. I was in bed this past week, making daily trips to the hospital to get intravenous administration of hardcore medication, and now I’m near the end of the recovering stage, but the problem with this condition is that I have to be very careful until it is completely take care of, as it tends to easily come back. It was decided that I’m in no shape to be traveling and working for a while. I’m trying to rest as much as possible, relax a little and take it easy. I apologize to my fans who were looking forward to the events, and to everyone involved with organizing these events.”

Although she won’t have a promotional tour, you can listen to some of her commentary on her songs and listen to the tracks off the album
