Kia Soul Rock!

Here’s a recent video for the Kia Soul that has been circulating on the web. It was filmed in late April at Mokpo Port in the southern part of Korea near the Gwangju plant, where the Soul is being manufactured. The crew shipped a bunch of test vehicles from their Namyang R&D Center and changed all the tires of the cars for the drifting scenes. They had to change all the tires back and ship all the cars back after the video shoot.

They grabbed some handheld digital cameras and brought in Korea’s top professional stunt driving team for the shoot. They even brought in a team specialized in aerial shooting for the overview shots. Two cameramen had to hang on to the top of a giant crane for more than 10 hours. No computer graphic technologies were used during post-production except for one scene. Can you guess which one? Answer below the video.
