Slanted

Slanted takes a satirical look at what it’s like to be an Asian American female trying to break into acting. It revolves around the ever tenacious Andrea, an aspiring actress, who must navigate the culturally limited world of Ft. Lauderdale’s acting community in the hopes of catching her big break, so she can finally move to Hollywood and away from her meddling immigrant Chinese parents. Andrea Lwin starred, wrote, and produced “Slanted”.

Update: Andrea tells us that there will be 10 episodes that will be shot. Look for new episodes every 2-3 months. Episode 3 will be out in February 2010. Between episodes there will be short videos like video blogs, character introductions and other content. Look for more Slanted soon.

Congrats to Michelle Wie on her first LPGA win at the Lorena Ochoa Invitational. There’s been a lot of pressure for her to deliver since she turned pro. Now some of the pressure is lifted with the win this past weekend. She shot 13-under-par and two stroke better than the next competitor. After 65 LPGA starts, Michelle Wie gets the win. Hope there’s more to come.

Legacy from Ninja Assassin

The music video for Legacy from Ninja Assassin features hip hop artists Raekwon, Murs & Xzibit. The trio of rappers sport the My Ninja Clothing Ninja Assassin T-shirt. The video also has plenty of clips from Ninja Assassin. You can see visuals of Rain and Rick Yune, but what’s the deal with the naked Asian woman with a sword throughout the video?
