The short film “Banana Bruises” is a satire on inter-racial intimacy with a shattering twist. Chloe, a shy and qui­et Chi­nese-​Cana­di­an girl, has had her eye on a geeky Cau­casian class­mate since they were kids. Un­for­tu­nate­ly, pub­lic school bullies, SAT ex­ams and her crazy Chi­nese par­ents all got in the way of romance. Now that they are adults, Chloe fi­nal­ly has the chance pur­sue an “inti­mate en­counter”. But in this satir­i­cal love sto­ry, things are not that simple and love is not as blind as we wish it to be.
