For those who remember the early days of Asian American rap, The Reunion is here! Back in 2004, three MC’s (Jin x LS x Snacky Chan) first got together to re-create GZA’s classic record, “4th Chamber,” for Jin’s “The Definition of History” mixtape. The result was an underground banger which set the internet world on fire. Seven years later, these three pioneers of Asian American hip hop show that they are still here and dope as ever. This is an original production created by Ray Hill who also appears as the main vocalist in the chorus.

It’s a great track bringing the past to the present as we still see these guys in the game. Asian American music has made a lot of progress since these guys started the movement. Far East Movement hitting the top of the Billboard charts with Like a G6 is just the tip of the iceberg. We expect more Asian American artists to burst on the scene. Props to Jin x LS x Snacky Chan who helped pave the way.

With Jin’s other recent track “Charlie Sheen” with Traphik and Dumbfoundead, looks like he might be hitting up everyone on the A List.
