The Slumdog Price is Right

CollegeHumor created this Slumdog Millionaire spoof with a “Price is Right” tie-in instead of the “Who Wants to be a Millionaire?” game show that the movie was based on. If you’ve watched Slumdog Millionaire, you’ll appreciate the parody more. Watch till the end, where the Bollywood Dance take place to the “Price is Right” theme song.

Dodgers pitcher Hiroki Kuroda hit by line drive

Here’s some crazy footage of Dodgers pitcher Hiroki Kuroda hit by line drive. While pitching against the Arizona Diamondback, Kuroda was nailed in the head by Rusty Ryal’s line drive. The ball hit him above his right ear. Television technicians estimate that there was about two-thirds of a second between the time the pitch left Kuroda’s hand and the line drive striking his head. He was sent to the hospital for observations and released on Sunday.

The Hiroki Kuroda’s injury could have been more serious, but he only suffered a concussion with a “minor headache”. He’s lucky to be alive. Neurological tests are scheduled on Tuesday. It’s unlikely Kuroda will make his next scheduled start Thursday.

Brave Face by Melissa Polinar x Jennifer Chung

Here’s another collabo between Melissa Polinar and Jennifer Chung. (Last week they did a duet from Thw Beatle’s Across The Universe.) This week is a Melissa Polinar original entitled Brave Face. You can download Brave Face on Melissa Polinar - Brave Face - Single - Brave Face or Amazon.com. (This song reminds us of Won’t Even Start by David Choi.)

Lyrics for Brave Face

i put on a brave face

every time i see you

and you’re with her

everybody tells me that

you and me will never work

i have come to terms with this somehow

i’m ok but there’s still a part of me

that wants to hear you saying

that you love me

saying that you love me now

i look for cues

i search for signs

anything that would make me feel

more than fine

but then i get tired of trying

to be inspired

i’ll just to have accept that

you’re moving on, moving on, moving on…

i put on a brave face

every time i see you

and you’re with her

everybody tells me that

you and me will never work

i have come to terms with this somehow

i’m ok but there’s still a part of me

that wants to hear you saying

that you love me

say that you love me

saying that you love me now

Y.E. Yang beats Tiger Woods in 2009 PGA Championship

South Korea’s Y.E. Yang, a 37-year-old, second-year player on the PGA Tour, upset Tiger Woods in the 2009 PGA Championship. He started the round two shots behind Woods, but ened up three shots better than Woods. The victory is the first major championship win for an Asian-born man. (Asian-born women have been winning championships for awhile, which led to the LPGA English speaking Requirements debacle.) Like in women’s golf, Y.E. Yang’s win will most likely spark golfing interest in Asia. Check out the win by Y.E. Yang below as well as reactions from him and Tiger Woods.

Clinging to a one shot lead, Y.E. Yang hits a stellar approach shot on the 18th hole and makes his birdie to capture the Wanamaker Trophy.

Y.E. Yang talks about his thrilling win after holding off Tiger Woods down the stretch.

Tiger Woods talks about the chances he had to win his 15th major, but how he didn’t make enough putts when he needed them the most.
