Why Here, Why Now? by Jennifer Chung

Why Here, Why Now? by Jennifer Chung

Singer Jennifer Chung released a music video for the song “Why Here, Why Now?”, which will be on the upcoming soundtrack for the indie flick “Guardian Angels.” Here’s more from Jennifer Chung about the song:

It’s been MONTHS (literally 5 months ago, December 2010) since we recorded this video and track but we finally got the green light to upload it! I had the wonderful opportunity to sing an original song for the Indie Film, Guardian Angels which was originally written as a book.

It was really fun getting to record at Paramount Studios for the first time and lending my vocals to such a well written & produced track. Hope you all enjoy!

You can get the song on Why Here, Why Now? (feat. Guardian Angels) - Why Here, Why Now? (feat. Guardian Angels) - Single or amazon

The video features clips from the Guardian Angels. Here’s more about the book/film:

Abigail Cells would be a very ordinary high school student in San Francisco except for the fact that her mother, Mercy Cells, is a wealthy, well known fashion designer. Everywhere Abby goes, the paparazzi relentlessly follow. Abby thinks she’s very plain and unremarkable; she has no idea that she is developing into a stunning beauty. Then, into her life walks a new student named Gideon, who has every girl in school drooling just to be near him. As he gets to know Abby, she begins falling in love, but she also begins to notice peculiar things about this gorgeous young man–he has a bad boy persona, but can be sweet as honey. He disappears, then reappears in the craziest places. And bad things start happening to the most beloved people in Abby’s life. Who is Gideon really, should Abby allow herself to fall completely in love with him, or is he the next disaster waiting to happen?

Lyrics to Why Here, Why Now? by Jennifer Chung

So what, we are done?
I no longer have you in my life boy,
Stood up and walked away,
Now it looks like my world is falling.

And these tears of mine, they ain’t drying
That’s why I try to make you tell me

Why here, why now? Why this tears?
Why here, why now? Why this words?
Baby tell me Oh oh oh oh
Why here, why now? why you’d have to go?
Why here, why now? Why does it have to end?
Baby tell me… why here, why now?

Your gone, now what?
Is this all that is left of our love?
Should I, keep crying
Even though it seems like I’m surviving

But these tears of mine, they ain’t drying
That’s why I try to make you, tell me.

Why here, why now? Why this tears?
Why here, why now? Why this words?
Baby tell me Oh oh oh oh
Why here, why now? Why you’d have to go
Why here, why now? Why does it have to end?
Baby tell me… why here, why now?

I know, I have to move on but,
It’s so, so hard to do,
I know that I can survive, but it’s hard alone.
Hard alone.

Why here, why now? Why this tears?
Why here, why now? Why this words?
Baby tell me Oh oh oh oh
Why here, why now? Why you’d have to go
Why here, why now? Why does it have to end?
Baby tell me… why here, why now?

(Verse 1)
This is the original,
This has no identical,
You can’t hack my digital,
Future Aboriginal,
Get up off my genitals,
I stay on that pinnacle,
Kill you with my lyricals,
Call me verbal criminal,
Send you to that clinical,
Subscribe you some Chemicals,
Audio and visual, can’t see me
invisible.
i’m old school like Biblical,
Futuristic next level,
Never on that typical
Will I stop I’ll never know…

(chorus)
I ain’t gonna stop until I do (don’t stop it)
I ain’t gonna quit should I show
Now baby don’t you stop it, stop it
Now baby don’t you stop it, stop it
Now baby don’t you stop it, stop it, stop it
You can’t stop us now…
I ain’t gonna stop until I do (don’t stop it)
I ain’t gonna quit should I show

At the party, partyin’,

Takin’ shots, whatever man
Party like a veteran,
Music is my medicine,
You won’t find me settlin’,

Keep it goin’ till the end
Yeah that’s right here we go again.

We red hot like fire trucks,
Burn that roof, ‘cuz that what up.
