Jeremy Lin at 2012 NBA All-Star Weekend

Jeremy Lin at 2012 NBA All-Star Weekend
Jeremy Lin gave series of interviews during the 2012 NBA All-star break. He focused less on the LIN-sanity and more on the team effort of the Knicks including a potential playoff run. All-Stars such as Derrick Rose, Kevin Durant, Chris Paul, Dwyane Wade, Steve Nash sang his praises and congratulated him on his sudden rise in the NBA.

Jeremy Lin was scheduled for two events for the All Star break. The first was playing for Team Shaq in the Rising Stars Challenge. He didn’t play too many minutes because he wanted to give the other rookies and sophomores time to shine and also to get some rest. The Second event, he was going play a supporting role for Iman Shumpert. “We actually had a sweet idea,” Lin explained. “Landry was going to roll a couch out with a cover over it, I was going to be sleeping underneath it, and then we were going to pull the cover, I was going to throw Iman an alley-oop from the couch, and he was going to jump over both me and the couch, windmill it and then sit down and have Landry hand him a Sprite. That was our idea, but it didn’t happen.”

Other topics covered in his press conference include explaining the meaning of the number on his jersey, the rising on his video game and ESPN rankings, his prayer request not to get cut from the Knicks, running pink and rolls, his “back up” plans to playing basketball, and more.

Come Back To Me by Dru B Shinin’

Come Back To Me by Dru B Shinin'

Rapper Dru B Shinin’ dropped the single “Come Back To Me” off his upcoming “All American” album. In his music, he continues to explore the woes of the American economy and culture. The Texas-based emcee keeps it real with his message on the track. Complementing his song are visuals on the basketball court. It’s all simple and to the point. Is the American Dream as we used to know it gone? Are we on the right track with the “new” American Way? Maybe we just need the “old” America to come back to all of us.
