Jeremy Lin gets endorsement deal with Volvo

Jeremy Lin gets endorsement deal with Volvo

Jeremy Lin landed a Nike deal when he first joined the NBA and got expanded with his magical LINsanity run. His latest endorsement deal is with car manufacturer Volvo. Dynamic, innovative and understated – words that can be used to describe Volvo also apply to their newest family member Jeremy Lin. Volvo is proud to announce that basketball superstar Jeremy Lin will be featured in 2012 marketing initiatives in China and the US.

Jeremy Lin decided to do the partnership based on fundamentals and continued progress. The fundamentals include the relatablilty and affordablity of the brand to Jeremy’s upbringing, while the continued progress to improve is similar to his passion to get better every day/year. We’re looking forward to see how Volvo uses Jeremy Lin in their marketing plans for the coming year.

Jeremy Lin, the only NBA star with a Harvard degree, told the press conference, “It’s a great honor for me to be appointed as Volvo Car Corporation Brand Ambassador today. You may not immediately see the connection between me and Volvo Car Corporation, but both of us are striving to be better and smarter at what we do, and to do it our own way. I hope that my efforts will inspire more young people to follow their ambitions in sports and education, just like Volvo Car Corporation is designing cars around people’s ambitions in life.”

Like good Chinese bargainers, the couple speaks in Mandarin to each other to get the scoop on what each other is thinking. Then, let the negotiations on a new car deal begin. Little does the Chinese couple know that the salesman can speak Mandarin.
