If I Ever Make Millions by Jin x Keez x Alyssa x J hu$tle

Jin is releasing tracks off the 2010 Hip Hop Census Mixtape. Winners were announced earlier this month and the collabos with the winners will be coming in spurts. One of the first completed tracks is called “If I Ever Make Millions” by Jin x Keez x Alyssa x J hu$tle. Listen to the dope lyrics and your priorities may change. Love the message in this song. You’re not gonna hear it on a mainstream track.

Be sure to peep the Say Something mixtape by Jin.

We Are Here to Change the World

This music video was inspired by the Captain EO ride at Disneyland. Check out the acappella cover of the song “We Are Here to Change the World” in memory of Michael Jackson. The video was done by the people behind The Calamari Retribution, which produced song like A Ballad for Kimchi and A Cappella Jam. We’ve added a clip from Captain EO for comparison.

Graduation Commercial – Google Search Story

Graduation Commercial - Google Search Story

Google’s got a new search ad running. It’s a cool and touching commercial about a mother from Vietnam, who moves to America to provide the best for her son. The Google search story captures the essence of the struggles of immigrant parents beautifully in 1 minute using nothing but search. Search On. (congrats to all the recent grads and all the immigrant parent who helped to get them where they are today.)

This reminds us of Lovely to Me (Immigrant Mother) by Taiyo Na.

Funemployed – Episode 3

Funemployed - Episode 3

The Funemployed webseries with Wong Fu Productions and KevJumba continues with episode 3. Jason and Kyle begin their job search and land their first interview. This episode includes a guest appearance by Yao Ming (sort of!) and cougar action (see the director’s commentary about that scene). Also watch the deleted scene below. (It’s pretty funny.) Still hard to believe this was made with no budget and no crew.
