Surrogate Valentine Trailer

Surrogate Valentine Trailer

The official trailer is finally out for the film “Surrogate Valentine” starring singer Goh Nakamura. Here’s a synopsis of the film slated to hit SXSW, the 2011 San Francisco International Asian American Film Festival, and more festivals:

San Francisco musician Goh Nakamura (playing himself) is barely scraping by playing live gigs and teaching guitar. So when a filmmaker friend asks him to teach guitar lessons to TV star Danny Turner (Chadd Stoops) for his upcoming movie role, Goh jumps at the chance. While on tour together, things get complicated when Goh’s high school flame Rachel (Lynn Chen) shows up.

Rock On by Bambu

Rock On by Bambu

Bambu released a music video for another track “Rock On” off his Los Angeles, Philippines Mixtape. The track is dedicated to the people of the Philippines, who struggle to make it today. (It’s a similar theme as We Be Workin’ by Apl.de.Ap.). Even with all their hardships, the Filipino people are resilient.

Your Love by Marie Digby

Your Love by Marie Digby

While Marie Digby was sick with the flu last week, it forced her to stay home. With all that time to kill, she got creative and wrote some new songs. One of these songs is “Your Love”. It’s a happy and cheerful song to counteract the state of discomfort she was in with the flu. We wish we had a fraction of her talent while she was sick. In the song, all the hand clappin, piano playing, guitar playing, and overall silliness was by Marie.

Update: See the Your Love music video by Marie Digby.

Listen to these other Marie Digby songs: Loving you is easy, Say It Again, and Swoon.

Lyrics to Your Love by Marie Digby

i can never find the words to describe what you do to me
if i did it would sound like a hundred symphonies
the sun would descend from the sky
just to see who stole all his light and glory
you and me don’t you see
we could change all of history 🙂
your love, your love your love, is all that i need
your love your love your love so honey stay right here with me
your touch, your smile, your kiss, your heart is lighting me up
your love your love, is all that i need

i remember walking with you on that april night
i was cold and you knew it so you asked me if i’m alright
then you reached for my hand
held it tightly in yours
and neither of us could say a thing
but the look on your face
to me, it meant it everything
