Billboard has released the names of the finalists for the 2011 Billboard Music Awards. Far East Movement and actor Ken Jeong were on hand for the official announcement of the nominees. Asian American representation this year included Bruno Mars, Linkin Park, Black Eyed Peas, and Far East Movement. Here’s the categories they were each nominated in:

Ken Jeong will be hosting the awards ceremony this year. The winners will be announced at the 2011 Billboard Music Awards show airing on ABC on Sunday, May 22, 2011 at 8-11 PM ET/PT. The awards show will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. This is the first year that ABC will broadcast the event.

To quote Ken Jeong at the press conference, “Asian taking over yo. The revolution has begun.”
