Karakuri : short documentary

Karakuri : short documentary

Japan has always been on the forefront of cutting edge robotics. Its roots can be traced back 200-300 years during the Edo period when skilled craftsmen created automata (self-operating machines). Using nothing more than pulleys and weights they were able to make the Karakuri (Japanese automata) perform amazing tasks.

Japan’s modern day robots can be traced back to the Karakuri. Today, Hideki Higashino is one of the few remaining craftsmen who is determined to keep the history and tradition of Japanese Karakuri alive.

The Lazy Song with Leonard Nimoy x Bruno Mars

The Lazy Song with Leonard Nimoy by Bruno Mars

We gotta kick out of the original music video for The Lazy Song by Bruno Mars featuring the dance moves of the Poreotics. Now, Bruno Mars has released an alternate version featuring none other than Star Trek’s Leonard Nimoy. “Mr. Spock” roams around the city in his bathrobe hitting up the supermarket and chilling at home with a beer. Star Trek fans will get a kick out of some of Nimoy’s antics like quick draw Vulcan salutes and flipping the channel with William Shatner on every channel. It’s a pretty funny video, but we still prefer the original. You can get the song on The Lazy Song - Doo-Wops & Hooligans (Deluxe Version) or amazon. Don’t be too lazy.

Catch more Bruno Mars music videos for Grenade, Just the Way You Are, and Liquor Store Blues. All off the “Doo-Wops & Hooligans” album.

Lyrics to The Lazy Song by Bruno Mars

Today I don’t feel like doing anything
I just wanna lay in my bed
Don’t feel like picking up my phone
So leave a message at the tone
Cause today I swear I’m not doing anything

Uh, I’m gonna kick my feet up and stare at the fan
Turn the TV on
Throw my hand in my pants
Nobody’s gon’ tell me I can’t, nah

I’ll be lying on the couch just chillin in my snuggie
Click to MTV so they can teach me how to dougie
Cause in my castle I’m the freakin man

Oh Oh, yes I said it
I said it
I said it cause I can
Today I don’t feel like doing anything
I just wanna lay in my bed
Don’t feel like picking up my phone
So leave a message at the tone
Cause today I swear I’m not doing anything

Nothing at all
Ooh hoo ooh hoo
Hoo ooh ooh
Nothing at all
Ooh hoo ooh hoo
Hoo ooh ooh

Tomorrow I wake up, do some P90X
With a really nice girl have some really nice sex
And she’s gonna scream out, “this is great” (Oh my god
this is great)
I might mess around and get my college degree
I bet my old man will be so proud of me
I’m sorry pops you just have to wait

[CHORUS]

No I ain’t gonna comb my hair
Cause I ain’t going anywhere
No no no no no no no no nooo
I’ll just strut in my birthday suit
And let everything hang loose
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeahhh

Ohh Today I don’t feel like doing anything
I just wanna lay in my bed
Don’t feel like picking up my phone
So leave a message at the tone
Cause today I swear I’m not doing anything

Nothing at all
Ooh hoo ooh hoo
Hoo ooh ooh
Nothing at all
Ooh hoo ooh hoo
Hoo ooh ooh
Nothing at all

Lyrics to Iridescent by Linkin Park

When you were standing in the wake of devastation
when you were waiting on the edge of the unknown
with the cataclysm raining down, insides crying save me now
you were there and possibly alone.

Do you feel cold and lost in desperation
you build up hope, but failure’s all you’ve known
remember all the sadness and frustration
and let it go, let it go.

And in the burst of light that blinded every angel
as if the sky had blown the heavens into stars
you felt the gravity of temper grace falling into empty space
no one there to catch you in their arms

Do you feel cold and lost in desperation
you build up hope, but failure’s all you’ve known
remember all the sadness and frustration
and let it go, let it go.

Do you feel cold and lost in desperation
you build up hope, but failure’s all you’ve known
remember all the sadness and frustration
and let it go,

let it go
let it go
let it go
let it go

Do you feel cold and lost in desperation
you build up hope, but failure’s all you’ve known
remember all the sadness and frustration
and let it go, let it go.
