Lyrics to Cold by Aziatix

why you being so cold
why you being so cold

sittin’ by the phone til six in the morning
and i’m waitin’ (waitin’) baby (baby)
i’m trying’ to figure out
what the hell’s goin’ on with you lately
what you got to say girl

so tell me
what’s gotten into you girl
can’t you see
not gonna hold me down tonight
we can’t be
baby no more, so whatever you say to me
you won’t get the best of me, yeah

why you being so cold
what you want me to be
girl it’s only a dream
it’ll never be

so why do you go on
playin’ these games on me
we could never be
cuz baby you’re so cold
you’re so cold

yeah, in the burning cold she left me for dead, what’s left is froze
shatter my heart and soul to pieces
whatever that’s left is gone
who was once my queen, now out my dreams
gucci shades watching her leave
brushing off the dirt next to me
a new start so fresh and clean

so tell me
what’s gotten into you girl
can’t you see
not gonna hold me down tonight
we can’t be
baby no more, so whatever you say to me
you won’t get the best of me, yeah

why you being so cold
what you want me to be
girl it’s only a dream
it’ll never be

so why do you go on
playin’ these games on me
we could never be
cuz baby you’re so cold
you’re so cold

when’s the stars aligned and the tides were high
when the sky above the clouds turned gray
i was there for you
but i always knew
like a breeze girl you’d go away

she comes off pure for sure
fresh from the garden daybreak she gets me started
then i card it feel the cold chill when she rides up on it
damn really if the kid ever had a chance to go back
i rather move on i just hope you know that
get the picture kodak, next train to destiny i’m on that

why you being so cold
what you want me to be
girl it’s only a dream
it’ll never be

so why do you go on
playin’ these games on me
we could never be
cuz baby you’re so cold (so cold)
you’re so cold
you’re so cold yeah

why you being so cold
what you want me to be
girl it’s only a dream
it’ll never be

so why do you go on
playin’ these games on me
we could never be
cuz baby you’re so cold
you’re so cold

Lyrics to The One by Thai x Traxamillion

[HOOK]
I grew up in the slums
With nothing but my pride
My word and my gun
Scream into the sun
Is anybody out there?
Can anybody hear me?
As real as it comes
and I’m screamin at the the top of my lungs
I am not done
I am the one

[Verse 1]
I sat and thought about it
Maybe I am the one
Assume that I was done
Really I’ve just begun

Now I’m brighter than the lights that u see when u welding
I’m higher then a new york sky scraper building

I’m the cream in the fillin
Trend setters so appealin
Sippin champane
With fine beautiful women

I’m feelin so live
Label me mr I-5
Affialiated wit the hustlers on the east side (san jo)

I’m so world wide
Feelin like its my time
New money and a new life
like a butterfly

Look in my eyes
U can tell that I evolved
When everybody stalled
I wanted to problem solve

A rare gem founded
Now the world is astounded
I started up the fire
Now everybody surround it

listen a story about
A father that left his son
And grew up in the slums
To somehow be the one

[HOOK]
I grew up in the slums
With nothing but my pride
My word and my gun
Scream into the sun
Is anybody out there?
Can anybody hear me?
As real as it comes
and I’m screamin at the the top of my lungs
I am not done
I am the one

[Verse 2]
I couldve been a statisitc
Either dead or in prison
But then my soul was lifted
Maybe I was born gifted

Who knows what their fate is
My fate is somethin better
I had the power in my hand to change my own weather

U could see me flyin by in that Murciélago
Aint nothin change I’m still sippin Henny out the bottle

And now tomorrow is here
Time to get it started
Yesterday u was nothin
And now are somebody

Don’t get me twisted
For one of these industry fake bitches
What u see is what u get
So go ahead and take a picture

Always been hated
But never faded
Highly motivated
To make it and make a statement

Everything put together like a puzzle
Trials and tribulations is something u got to go through
Don’t let nobody show u

I’m here and my visions clear
I got my hands on the steering wheel now its time to steer

[HOOK]
I grew up in the slums
With nothing but my pride
My word and my gun
Scream into the sun
Is anybody out there?
Can anybody hear me?
As real as it comes
and I’m screamin at the the top of my lungs
I am not done
I am the one

Man of the Year album by Drega

Man of the Year album by Drega

After releasing four highly successful leaks (“Overcome“, “Henry VIII”, “Bring It All Down”, “New King”) over the past 12 months, generating close to 60,000 Facebook Likes, the Indian Canadian rapper Drega has released his highly anticpated project Man of the Year.

The 10 song project features all original productions entirely crafted by Drega himself and The Anime Boyz producer Neo Tempus. “Some may see it as a weakness that I decided to produce the whole album with just myself and another person, but from an artist development stand point, it helped me craft my sound and hopefully become a true artist”, states Drega.

This attention to defining a sound is crucial element thoughout Man of the Year, as the majority of the record includes personal songs such as “Overcome”, “Bring It All Down”, “Take Me Home” and “The Moment”. “Simply put, this is a story about a kid born in India, who moves to Canada, goes through all kind of ups and downs, and yet still has a smile on his face.” proclaims Drega.

Features include Juno-nominated The Kid Famous on the ode to fake relationships “Ain’t My Girl” and South Asian rapper by way of New York, Nivla on the hyperactive joint “Superhard”. Even Drega’s selection of features was chosen artistically, as he states, “I didn’t want to do features with just anybody to score “cool points”. My collab with Kid Famous came from collaborating with him on a number of songs we worked on together for his upcoming project and my collab with Nivla is my way of telling South Asian artists that it’s cool to work with each other.”

What Would You Do? : Tiger Mom Attacks Kid for A-Minus

What Would You Do? : Tiger Mom Attacks Kid for A-Minus

Ever since author Amy Chua pounced onto the scene earlier this year, coining the phrase “Tiger Mother” and touting strict Asian parenting as the key to her children’s success, a swarm of controversy has arisen. In her book, “Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother,” Chua explains that she uses the term “Asian parenting” loosely and that Tiger Parents can come from any number of immigrant communities. For the ABC News show “What Would You Do?”, they hired two actresses — Rachel, to play the role of the Tiger Mother, and Misha, to play her daughter — to see how people would react if they saw a mother berate her daughter for earning an A-minus on a math test. Tiger Mother and daughter were taken to the bustling City Limits Diner in White Plains, N.Y. Restaurant diners intervene when they see a “What Would You Do?” actress scold a child over receiving an A-minus grade.
