Hey, Wong Fu Productions fans. The Wong Fu Productions Spring Tour 2010 is just underway. They could be visiting your school this month. Check out the schedule to see it they hit your school. They’ve got a grueling schedule traveling all over the USA. If you’re near one of the event locations drop by and say hi to these guys. A tip for you. Get to the event early. Otherwise, you might not get in.

George Lin Tribute videos

During the 2009 San Diego Asian Film Festival (SDAFF), there was a tribute to George Lin, a big supporter of Asian American films. He contributions can be felt coast to coast at the DC APA Film Festival as well as the San Diego Asian Film Festival. Sadly, he passed away last year. As part of this year’s SDAFF, filmmakers were asked to create short films to answer the question “How do you know you’re watching a bad movie?” Watch some of the shorts below. Our favorites include Boom and Lubed. BTW – George was a former forensic scientist, so you’ll see some references in the short to scientists.

If you’re hitting the 2009 San Diego Asian Film Festival this weekend, be sure to check out Blowfish : An Intersection of Sights and Sounds. Great music from Asian American musicians including performances by Lyrics Born, The Visionaries (Zen, Dannu, and KeyKool), Kero One, and Vox Merger. Plenty of Asian American celebs too. The 2009 San Diego Asian Film Festival lineup has officially been released. Lots of good films coming to San Diego. Here’s a few we recommend: All About Dad, Beast Stalker, Children of Invention, Ip Man, The People I’ve Slept With, White on Rice, Speaking in Tongues, Transcending: The Wat Misaka Story, Whatever It Takes, and You Don’t Know Jack: The Jack Soo Story. Most of these have been on the Asian American Film Festival circuit. San Diego it’s your chance to check them out. See the full lineup here. Remember to get your tickets early.

BTW – “The People I’ve Slept With” makes is premiere that week. So we expect that to be a hot ticket. See some behind the scenes footage for “The People I’ve Slept With”.
