Lyrics to What I Do by J. Reyez

(verse 1)
I put that ice in it, them chills down my spine
and I be slow sipping, thinking about them times
of other times and what I’m gonna do with time now
accustomed to this life but the world is upside down
she listening while I chit chat, and I drink this and she sip that
that money money I get that, she’d feel good in the pitch black
but I see her ways, I don’t kiss her back, she expecting sh*t, that tit for tat
even if she ten, I’m crazy though, but don’t give in to no shady hoes
and I be leaning to the left, leaning to the right
I’m kinda dizzy, please forgive me if I’m impolite
cause I’m having fun with it and I’ma run with it
and f*ck them other thirsty bitches that be buzz killing
I’ma represent, gotta keep it trill
and I know she will, she know the deal
I got my team here, it’s all good vibes
like we should right? have a good night

(chorus)
this is what I do, every single other day
doing what I do, even if they had enough of me
don’t know what you thinking, don’t care about the opinions
and XO’s from the b*tches, that XO’s what I’m drinking
this is what I do, do, every single other day
doing what I do, even if they had enough of me
don’t know what you thinking, don’t care about the opinions
trying to fill the void that I’m missing and carry on with my business

(verse 2)
getting a bit tired, need to drink some of that energy
pretty women everywhere, mistaken identity
I ask her what her name is, I don’t wanna forget you
she looking like the the type that I wanna wake up next to
and later on we heading out, it’s my last night that I’m in town
in a beamer to get around while listening to that underground
my homie forgot his I.D. so he stayed out while we partied
I texted her to come find me and through the crowd she saw me
we in LA, downtown, we geeked up with them mollies
she tell me that she had fun, let’s do it again and she called me
I’m so gone, feeling faded, we working with our coordination
you feel me and I feel you, we need that californication
her eye’s are so appealing, this is the best feeling
her body she is revealing, forget what I was thinking
live our lives to the fullest, not enough of time
but we gon have the best night of our f*cking lives

Lyrics to Didn’t Mean It by Jasmine V

Do you see me and still feel love
or have I changed inside your heart
To have only you, is such a force
To give all all of me is not enough.
You left then, you came back
Sorry won’t make it up to me
Sorry won’t make me believe

He’s down on bending knees
You’re down on bending knees
Saying, you didn’t mean it
you didn’t mean it
if you didn’t mean it
Then why would you say it
You didn’t mean it
you never mean it.
Then why in the world would you say it

‘Til tomorrow, don’t you know
Love me now or let me go
He didn’t mean it
you never mean it.
Then why in the world would you say it
Say it, say it

i miss the way we used to be
Now you’re the one that i can’t keep
Thought I was first, and never last
Thought it was you, I would always have
You left then, you came back
Sorry won’t make it up to me
Sorry won’t make me believe

You didn’t mean it
You didn’t mean it
if you didn’t mean it
Then why would you say it
He didn’t mean it
You never meant it
Then why in the world would you say it

‘Til tomorrow, don’t you know
Love me know or let me go
He didn’t mean it
You never mean it.
Then why in the world would you say it
It’s time to let you go,
It’s time to say goodbye
Boy, you need to know,
I’m done with you messing with my mind

You didn’t mean it
You never mean it.
Oh!
You didn’t mean it
You never mean it.
Then why in the world would you say it.
You didn’t mean it
You didn’t mean it
If you didn’t mean it
Then why would you say it
You didn’t mean it
You never mean it it
Then why in the world would you say it…….. (hold)

‘Til tomorrow, don’t you know
Love me now or let me go
You didn’t mean it
You never mean it
Then why in the world would you say it…..
Say it…, say it….
Then why in the world would you say it….
Say it…, say it…
Then why in the world would you say it…

What Am I Supposed to Do? by Kero One x Suhn

What Am I Supposed to Do? by Kero One x Suhn

Musician Kero One x Suhn team up for the music video for their single “What Am I Supposed to Do?” The video reflects on the way the world is today with an R&B vibe. How do we deal with things like homelessness, natural disasters, crimes, and other social issues around us? The self-directed music video reminds us that there is something everyone can do against human injustices. Composed, arranged, and performed by Kero One featuring the soulful vocals of Suhn (The Tones), the song lets us know the solution might lie in showing a little more love to one another.

As written in the song:
There’s a war outside that’s taking so many lives | What’s left to do but cry | But we got to believe in something, don’t just stand for nothing | Fight for your rights and let’s end this war!

With this call to action, what steps will we take. You can get the single on What Am I Supposed to Do? (feat. Suhn) - What Am I Supposed to Do? (feat. Suhn) - Single or amazon. 50% of all proceeds from the sale of this song in the first month will be donated directly to Free the Slaves (www.freetheslaves.net), a charity focused on ending slavery for women, children and men around the world. This track is the lead single off Kero One’s forthcoming album (dropping summer 2012). Expect more music with a social message coming from Kero One soon.

Common, Simple, Beautiful music video by Jennifer Chung

Singer Jennifer Chung released the music video for her single “Common, Simple, Beautiful“. The video and song reflects on the comfort of being near your loved ones. Here’s more from Jennifer Chung on the track:

Finally the video is up! I first wrote this song when I was away from home in college when I was 18.. I hadn’t seen my mom in so long and “home” felt so far away. The song came so naturally from my heart and it’s amazing how I finally got to shoot a music video for it this past February, about 4 years after I wrote the song, when I was up there for my SF album show.

Jennifer’s San Francisco Bay Area roots are the focus with home video footage with friends and family. With the thoughts of loved ones back home, she makes her journey to Los Angeles to live her dreams. YOu can get her single on Common, Simple, Beautiful - 4 Years & Counting... or amazon.

Lyrics to Common, Simple, Beautiful by Jennifer Chung

Don’t you agree
When they all say
“Home is where the heart is.”
But do you see
With every step that you take,
You get further away
From where the heart is.

It’s so easy to be blinded
& caught up in the clouds where everything’s in a haze
Causing you to forget about the days,
Of the common, simple, beautiful ways.

I remember all the times that I had spent with my friends.
Taking BART to San Francisco just for 350 cents.
Talking, laughing, joking – didn’t quite k now what was to come.
Years of memories, irreplaceable fun.

I remember telling mom that I’d make her proud one day.
She would smile and knew exactly all the right things to say.
Man, I miss her & can’t wait till I get back to the bay.
Back to the common, simple, beautiful ways.

Isn’t it nice,
To simply know,
There’s somewhere you can go back to.
So it’s a big sacrifice
Everytime that you decide
You can’t even if you want to.
