Challenges Facing APA Immigrant Workers

Challenges Facing APA Immigrant Workers
On Wednesday May 19, Secretary of Labor Hilda L. Solis hosted a live webcast featuring a roundtable with Asian Pacific American community leaders on challenges facing APA workers in the areas of workplace safety and health, wages, hours, APA women workers, and labor and community partnerships. The discussion took place at the US Department of Labor. This was part of the ongoing support from the White House for the APA community. See some of the other videos from APA Heritage Month including APA Heritage Month with President Barack Obama, Gary Locke, and Dispelling the Model Minority Myth at the White House

Watch this video if you’re interested in immigrant rights or labor rights. FYI – the video is 2 hours long. The discussion reminds us of the music video Lovely to Me (Immigrant Mother) by Taiyo Na
