BaO Eat You Up parody by Patty Yu

You’ve probably seen BoA’s music video for “Eat You Up,” but you’ve never seen it quite like the parody by Patty Yu. (Kinda reminds us of Weird Al’s “Eat It” video spoofing Michael Jackson’s “Beat It”.) The spoof is a virtual shot for shot remake of BoA’s video. If you like pork buns (baos), you can relate to Patty Yu’s passion for the food in the video. You can even see cameos by Danny Cho as Kim Jong Il and Lanlin Wong as hot dog champ Kobayashi. (BTW – love the skeleton hoodie in the video.)

In May 2009, Patty conceived and produced a music video parody of Korean pop princess, BoA’s hit single Eat You Up. The Chinese American model/actress spent the next few months editing the footage herself. Let more about how the project came together here.

It’s time for us to get a bao and eat it up.

Crazy Fucked Up Bitch music video from The People I’ve Slept With

The “Crazy Fucked Up Bitch” music video from The People I’ve Slept With had its premiere during the 2009 Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival 2009. Now you can see it online. It’s another song by The Fabulous Miss Wendy, who sang “I Like Boys” also for “The People I’ve Slept With”.

“Crazy Fucked Up Bitch” is the second music video released for the film and is Not Safe For Work. It follows Angela Yang (Karin Anna Cheung) as she hooks up with rock star The Fabulous Miss Wendy for a night of sexual escapades, Angela remembers the other people she’s slept with and embraces what it means to be a “Crazy Fucked Up Bitch.”

Update: The video was originally on YouTube, but was banned.

Aziz Ansari as Randy in Funny People – Part 3

Here’s part three of a documentary series profiling Randy (aka Aziz Ansari), a rising standup comic featured in the new film Funny People. In part 3, Randy talks about TV pilots, using comedy to make a difference like Darfur, and how he does his research for his comedy routines. Again, the mockumentary is Not Safe For Work. If you want to see more Randy, see part 1 and part 2.

You can also see other fake show from Funny People like Yo Teach! and Sayonara Davey featuring Ken Jeong.

Sneak Peek at Far East Movement’s "Electro" album

Far East Movement shared a sneak peek of their upcoming album “Electro” at the FRA offices. A few of the songs the FM guys played included “2 Is Better” featuring Ya Boy, “Animal” Remix, and Murs “Break Up” FM Remix. Check out some of the clips below. Other tracks from Far East Movement expected on the album include FM featuring Cataracs, Snoop Dogg featuring FM in “Snoop Dogg Millionaire FM REMIX”, and Hyper Crush featuring FM – “F.U.H.A.T.E.R.” We’ve been cranking their latest “Animal” album, but we’re definitely looking forward to “Electro”. Also props to FM getting radio play from coast to coast for “Girls on the Dance Floor.”

BTW – Far East Movement and Wong Fu Productions have officially announced ISA LA 2009. The next International Secret Agents Concert takes place Labor Day weekend on September 6, 2009 at the San Gabriel Mission Playhouse in Southern California (the place where it all began). Keep an eye out on our site for details coming soon. (We’re hoping that Wong Fu Productions and FM will have the Millionaire music video out by then.)

Criminal by Justin Nozuka (Remake)

Recently, singer Justin Nozuka remade his music video for the song “Criminal”. The original “Criminal” music video came out in 2007. His 2009 version of the same video has the half Japanese Justin Nozuka with a new image and the video with grittier, more cinematic look. We like he new 2009 version of the video better than the 2007 version. Check out both versions below.

Also check out some of Justin Nozuka’s othe music videos including Be Back Soon and Golden Train. You can pick up all three songs off Justin’s “Holly” album available at Justin Nozuka - Holly and Amazon.
