Were they even aware that Peter Le is a gay pornstar? Hmmm, maybe thats part of the draw??

  2. daniel

this is why i stay the hell away from ktown if i can. go out there on any given weekend night and you’ll see all kinds of douchebaggery.

  3. sad

lame. i guarantee this will only make korean americans look more douche-y and retarded to everyone who watches this sort of garbage.

  4. Eric

This is great. This show will go onto showcase how asian males can be as douchey and females as slutty as their caucasian counterparts to the entire nation. The moment asians get their moment under the spotlight, and it’s gotta be something trashy. There goes 21st century Amercan values for you.

  5. leo

what is the whole purpose?? really, aint no body interested in asian real world!! n see bunch of asians getting crunked, please make something MEANINGFUL!!

  6. leed

bohemians and bobos? bobos was a term coined by david brooks and it stands for bohemian and bourgeois. dumb concept showcasing everything wrong with korean-american society. boycott.

  7. omg

agreed daniel! this shiat is ridiculous. they found 8 of the most douchey asians possible. get a real job folks.

  8. Stan

WTF! Don’t name this a KOREAN reality show! what the f@ck. don’t generalize all of us with this show. furthermore, half the cast aren’t even korean.

  9. ClosetStud-PublicDud

to the crew, cast & producers – i understand why u picked people that looked like this. please don’t make it look too much like jersey shore though. please inject some originality. good luck.

to the haters – look, you might be a stud online – opinionated, have blogs, and have many virtual friends & pets. but the truth is, you’re a day time accountant, i get it, which doesn’t mean you have to trash talk the guys who actually try to make sh*t happen for your people. sluts and douches just happen to be whats popular right now. don’t tell me you won’t watch cuz i know you will

  10. kimchibreath

right, because all koreans in los angeles are meatheads and hoochie-mamas. as if asians needed any more wrong or negative media stereotyping.

    FAIL!

  11. Kay Tewn

Seriously, this is a disgrace to the asian race. And thats giving them the benefit of the doubt…

  12. StickyRice

While I applaud Asians coming into the main stream of American media, this is the wrong vehicle to show case us. But as in most reality TV shows, drama gets the ratings. Like watching a car accident, you just can’t help but to stop and look.

  13. grk

@ClosetStud – What exactly are they trying to make happen? Get us out of our stereotypes by perpetuating a completely opposite and equally false stereotype? Sure there are plenty of Asians in Ktown who act just like these morons, but there are also many others who steer clear of this scene. This is doing absolutely NOTHING for us – on the contrary it is a huge step back. I for one would rather be known as a geeky nerd who is good at only math than a raging slut who goes out every night to black out.

I realize that many of the shows advocates are going to say that this show isn’t meant to represent all Asians – perhaps just those in Ktown, but we all know that it is NOT going to play out like that. Jersey Shore doesn’t represent just those in New Jersey, it represents all “guidos”. In that manner, outsiders are going to generalize this show to all Koreans and perhaps Asians as well. This is a HUGE embarrassment to our culture and I am disappointed to know that Koreans themselves have helped produce this show.

This is not how we are !!!!! Please boycott this crap it’s a cheap rip off of jersey shore. Ktown cowboys is much better and more real then this overproduce fake ass bull sit of a show !!!

Just give it a chance guys…It’s an opportunity for Korean Americans to get some kind of face time on T.V.
Who knows, maybe one of the cast members might move on to bigger and better things…Let’s all just hang back and see how this will all unfold…

  16. MCZ

Anyone else notice that it says “HOE REP” right beside the blonde girl? Just saying 😉

  17. WHAAAAA?

“An opportunity for Korean Americans to get some kind of face time on T.V”
Yes i want to give it a chance but not like this, any better idea?????

    Seriously,
Now we gotta explain that we dont do this in real life when everyone asks.
    A Reality show without reality…?

any info on when it will air?

and I’m surprised to hear such negative feedback from other asians already. being african american, i get to watch other race’s do their thing and have always noticed the lack of asians (normally, there’s one black person on a show) so hearing that a show was going to feature asians in the front seemed interesting.

I guess the question is what “kind” of asian are you expecting? as i’ve come to notice, ameri-asian isn’t that different from white american. Now that it’s showing on tv, is this a problem? The show wants to prove that asians are “just like everyone else” right? With the choice of people chosen, they did what they did. It’s not an honest interpretation of ANYONE really. As a few of the posters have already stated, watching others act like drunking idiots is not cool.

But someone will watch with anticipation. And money will be made.

Which is what the business is all about.

If the show fails, someone will blame it on them being asian; too little: too late. if it succeeds they will say it’s because asians are just like whites.

Either way, the truth will lose.

I may watch since this is a first for the asian community. But I’m not addicted to these type of shows. Never saw one episode of Jersey Shore.

  19. Eric

    @grk

I foresee this reality show altering the perception of non-asians in two ways. Either Yellow fever will turn into raging Yellow fever, or asian doodes will finally get their props from the rest of America. What do you think?

    God I live this country.

  20. jully

saw the pics on fb yesterday.. crazy. (congrats EK and EC~ shocked only 2 of the 8 are a “Kim.”) can’t wait to watch the pilot. i except to do a lot of laughing and cringing – it’s an insane mix of pride and shame. Be the Reds!

  21. WOW

WOW. is this show for real? And I agree with grk. this show definitely doesn’t represent every Korean/Asian in LA. But I can’t believe that this show is going to be exactly like Jersey Shore. Way to represent.

I, for one, will steer clear of this trash.

  22. wth

Wtheck is this crap. This is just going to bring us Asians down. Just cancel this show while you can. I’m definitely not going to watch Koreans with no morals because its really a waste of time.

  23. emily

    wow…… this is so embarrassing
a lot of people already look down on asians, now its just gonna get worse…..
    sigh~~ TT__TT

  24. min

this shows going to flop… don’t worry guys not enough koreans here in the states,, plus it seems like none of us wants to support this crap…i rather watch wonder girls lols..

  25. Disgusted

Another pathetic show with people whose combined IQs will be less than average. Are producers really lacking good creative ideas for shows?

  26. Noi

I mean I want to see Asians get a name but not like this! I swear people in Korea are going to be piss! This show is going to make Korean people look really bad! It might even give them a bad reputation!

  27. jen

i agree that this is a bad ideaa… it’s just going to make us look really bad.. like the jersey shore i swear i think they’re stupidd!! i dont want another jersey shore korean version.. so please just DON”T!!

  28. biii

omg its not even korean ppl… its a mixture of all asn.. chinese taiwanese korean…etc

  29. Snake

Bottom of the barrel is what this rubbish is. Obviously not a drop of any original creativity. Take a train wreck and repackage it. This time instead let’s find the douchiest and most attention whorish, drama prone people and contribute to stereotyping. How the hell is showcasing Asian people acting like total morons breaking stereotypes and “show their multidimensional characteristics and personalities”. What characteristics? Being a douche bag? Being a whore? Most of them aren’t even Korean. Not that most non-Asian people can discern the difference. We all look alike right? But hey let’s give a little credit here, at least they aren’t wielding a katana and doing martial arts. Or drifting all over K-town in their “tricked out” rides.

This is an absolute abomination and disgrace. Way to go. Hope whoever is involved with this crap is real proud of themselves. What’s next on the list? A show about African Americans sitting around, drinking 40’s eating fried chicken? What? That’s too offensive? That’s racist? That’s stereotypical? Nah. It’s all in the name of entertainment right? Good clean fun? No one harmed?

  30. Huh

    “An insult to Asian culture”

Really, our “asian culture” is the reason that so many of us aren’t seen on television without having that stamped on us. This gives us a chance to break the stereotype of quiet, always studying, pushovers, there is more to us than that.
