Recently, channelAPA.com had a chance to chat with Harry Shum Jr. Best known for his role as Mike Chang on Glee, he’s also done several short film project over the past year or so. In addition to talking to him about the upcoming season of Glee, we talk to his about his webseries Remixed. Angel Island Profile: Eliseo Felipe

Eliseo Felipe, a 100 year-old retired serviceman, shares his journey to the United States and his pride in becoming an American. At the age of seven, Eliseo learned to work on the fields to support his family in the Philippines. He immigrated to the United States in 1933 where he met his brother and uncles who worked on the farms in Salinas, California. The 1934 Tidings-McDuffie Act changed Eliseo’s citizenship status from “national” to “alien,” which caused him to be detained at Angel Island. He talks about his experience on the island and how he re-entered America. Over the years Eliseo held many jobs across California, working as a farmer, bellman, and eventually a serviceman for the United States Army. Currently, Eliseo is retired and tends to his garden at his house in Salinas, CA. He recently celebrated his 100th Birthday with his wife, four children, and grandchildren.

Fremont’s Ariel Hsing ( the subject of the documentary Top Spin) will be competing for the U.S. in table tennis at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. Ariel has recently been getting a lot of attention from the television networks, but six years ago she was already turning heads in Bay Area table tennis community. Look for her this summer competing in Europe.

New York Knicks point guard, Jeremy Lin, updates the media on his injury and discusses when he hopes to return to the lineup. He’s been practicing with contact and testing his recovery process and readiness. He hasn’t been able to be explosive, jump, or drive by someone the way he wants to yet. Recently, channelAPA.com had a chance to catch up with Aziatix on their US tour. We spoke with them right after their one year anniversary as a group. Nicky Lee, Eddie Shin, and Flowsik talk about their life before Aziatix and how they came together as Aziatix. The trio wasn’t expecting much from their initial release, but with the help of their fans they are reaching for the top. With a talented support crew in video and music production, Aziatix has cranked out some amazing music videos. Their diverse love of music has helped craft the some amazing remixes of their own song.
